As we close out another remarkable year, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible support, dedication, and generosity you’ve shown to Swedemom Center of Giving and MacHub. Whether you are a donor, volunteer, or even a generous shopper, you’ve been an integral part of our journey to serve out a mission of bettering community and providing hope to those in need.
This year, Swedemom Center of Giving has made extraordinary strides in our mission to connect resources with those who need them most. Through our local division of MacHub in McMinnville, Oregon we have partnered with local nonprofits and social service agencies to ensure thousands of donated items find their way to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. From families who have lost everything to unforeseen challenges, to those simply in need of a fresh start, your contributions have been the foundation of their renewed hope and opportunity.
Our commitment to service has also fueled growth and innovation. We’ve worked tirelessly to increase our impact, ensuring that every donation has a meaningful purpose. Whether getting into the hands of those in greater need or to those who find just what they are looking for through our online marketplaces. We continue to have amazing opportunity to create circular economy through our work partnering with eBay for Charity and serving out that same purpose through our physical store in beautiful downtown McMinnville.
We are especially excited to see a new generation of passionate staff stepping into leadership roles, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to drive us into a future of greater sustainability and creativity. As you may know I am entering my 27th year as founder and director of the Swedemom organization and know that without the work and leadership of our next generation the next chapter would be more difficult if not impossible to write.
The calling that led me into this mission was to bring technology and humanity together to create compassionate and sustainable solutions. I am happy to report I am rewarded and get to see that every day through the great work of longtime champions, our board of directors, our staff, our interns, our volunteers and the greater community! Thank you.
